Girl Time

Twice a year, in the spring and the fall, Kim and I have planned, scheduled, written in stone Girl Time! We talk about it for months with anticipation. We get all of our kids clothes tagged, on hangers and ready for consignment. We usually load the van in the wee morning hour and head off to Kids Market. We eat junk food all night until time to stand in line to get our #. Two weeks later its time to SHOP!!! This is a really fun day. We have our routine.....leave at lunch, go to Olive Garden (Kim will inevitably order Alfredo, she is a creature of habit:) We go to the gas station to pick up waters and diet coke, and go take our place in line to shop! We usually start at 3 or 4 and finish up around midnight. We have the best time. On the way home we stop by Krispy Kreme and just hope the HOT NOW sign is on! We take these home to our families for breakfast the next morning......we eat a few too! When our kids are older and we no longer need to shop at Kids Market, I wonder what our new scheduled Girl Time will be? Who knows but I'm sure it will be fun! This year we have extended the time and decided to leave in time to catch a late movie......Confessions of a Shopaholic.

Sounds like fun. Is that your sister? I LOVE spending time with mine. I came to your blog earlier. I was having trouble posting on Dawn's. I went in and fixed it. Do you know which setting controls the function that makes people have to choose an editor? I have another friend that I can't post to, but everyone else can. Weird! It must be one of my settings

Exodus 27:1 says, "You shall make the altar acacia wood, five cubits long and five cubits broad."

Please don't take that so much as an insult as much as it is an encouragement.

Your Husband,
Dave

That sounds like so much fun...I've never heard of Kid's Market before. It's great that you have a friend that you can do that with twice a year!
